• Minimum 0-1 year of relevant experience/Freshers trained in SQL Server DBA.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Good Organizational & Time management skills.

Job Description:

• Database Administrator at L1 level for MSSQL Server 2005 and MSSQL 2008
• Performance Tuning , Log Shipping & mirroring setup and configuration.
• Daily MSSQL Server Instance Monitoring; Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting, Backup & restoration of Databases, User Activity & MSSQL log analysis, Log Shipping & mirroring setup and configuration, SQL login management, DR setup & recovery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Verify all instances are up & working.
• Look into new alert log entries and checking for any errors.
• Verify the success of the Database backup.
• Verify the success of the Database archiving to tape.
• Check table space usage.
• Checking if there is enough disk space for the data files to grow.
• Monitoring temporary segments usage.
• Checking for DB links that are inaccessible.
• Finding invalid objects and fixing them.
• Checking session locks.
• Monitoring overall Database health & performance.
• Identifying tables with chained rows & rectifying them.
• Monitoring users and transactions.
• Escalating issues and providing feedback and suggestions.
• Work on assigned.
