Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or an Equivalent Diploma
  • MS in Telecommunications preferred

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Fresher or 6 Months relevant experience in managing Linux server, Applications based on Linux platform.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Must imbibe our company values and behaviours.
  • Must be open to work in shifts.
  • Must have a keen technical inclination to learn several technologies and not specialize in only one technology.
  • Should have basic  Networking Knowledge.
  • Should have exposure to DNS, DHCP, Linux OS, Load Balancers and Proxies.
  • RHCE Certification, MCSE or Solaris certifications would be preferred.
  • Good analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Pearl or shell scripting skills would be preferred.
  • RHCE, CCNA certifications.

Job Description:

  • Good Communication verbal and written with the customers.
  • Drive Efficiency by responding for the Monitoring Alert and rectifying the issue
  • Understand and manage monitoring platform.
  • Incident Management for all proactive faults.
  • Handling of Remedy tickets, Vendor and Change management.
  • Follow up of Monitoring alerts and  proactive fault.
  • Customer Service Level Agreement Deliverables.
  • Daily Health check of the devices managed by Vodafone Ops.
  • Performing on-boarding checks for the device to be on-boarded into Vodafone Ops.
  • BoA Global Security Services Deal has been signed where The contract will deliver revenues of over $66M over the initial 3-year period – and has the potential to go well beyond US$100M in the years to come.
  • This request is on the back of the Attrition and will need to be back filled immediately else there will be direct impact to customer on the back of a missed alert which would cause brand/reputation and legal impact to the BOA and its customer. This will also have impact on Health checks and Proactive incident resolution due to shortage of this  resources which will have a direct impact through Service credits paid out.
  • Internal Interfaces – Service Management Team, Account Team relevant to the customer.
  • External Interfaces – Operations Team within the customer organization, Vendors with whom the customer has contracts.
  • No Direct Reports.
  • Reporting into – Team lead CSSC.
  • Abiding by ISO 20000 Process Framework.
  • Abiding by ISO 27001 Security Guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the alerts received in the monitoring platform for the technologies managed by Vodafone for BOA CSSC/CSSC-CIA Ops.
  • First level of interaction with the customers (verbally and written).
  • Ability to Respond to Customer Complaints (written & oral).
  • Ability to Prepare good documentation
  • Ability to adapt and deal with stressful situations
  • Ability And inclination to work on multiple technologies
  • Ability to Work as a team player

Desired Skills:

  • Primary Skills: Verbal and written Communication, Basic Networking
  • Secondary Skills: Linux Basics, DNS/DHCP work flow
