Job Description:
- In this internship, you will work with a global team of engineers /scientists in an Agile development environment to develop on-prem IIOT solutions on top of Predix platform.
- Predix enables industrial scale analytics for asset and operations optimization by providing a standard way to connect machines, data, and people.
- The apps planned by our organization would help our customers through reduced unplanned downtime, optimize maintenance schedule & cycle and maximize profitability & efficiency.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Expertise on common programming languages and technologies – Java/C++/Python, OSGi, Spring, Hibernate.
- Expertise in database design and development – SQL Server/H2 database engine.
- Understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development techniques and concepts.
- Familiarity with OPC UA protocol, web socket programming and mobile app development.
Job Responsibilities:
- The selected candidate will be involved in all the phases of SDLC supporting the Software Technology team working on Predix based Controls solutions.
- These solutions will be developed using Java/Python/C++ and will be hosted on Predix Machine OSGi container utilizing – OPC UA protocol for Machine-to-Machine communication and web socket protocol for duplex communication with the connected clients.
- HTML5 will be used to provide rich web-based UI.
- These solutions are tested in simulated plant environment and the candidate will be involved in setting up environment at lab and perform integration testing.
- The candidate will also be involved in deploying these solutions at our customer sites remotely.
