• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other related field, or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background.
• 0 to 2 years Windows server administration experience.
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 & 2012 Administration and Troubleshooting (AD, DNS, DHCP, Failover Clusters, IIS, etc.)
• ITIL Processes for Incident, Problem & Change Management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, inter-personal skills.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions.
• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.
• Flexible with shifts and must be ready to connect from home for any business emergency.

Additional Skills:

• Experience in the healthcare industry.
• ITIL Certification is an added advantage.

Job Description:

• System Engineer is responsible for Supporting, maintaining and implementation of Windows Servers, and software modules for solutions developed by Cerner Corporation.
• Be a good team player and provide excellent support to the infrastructure, by cross-functioning when needed, to achieve high client satisfaction and other organization goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Windows Server Administration
• Install, Configure, Maintain, Monitor and Troubleshoot Windows Servers running different versions of Windows.
• Administer Guest Servers in the virtual infrastructure.
• Perform Patching, SSL Cert Renewals & resolve vulnerabilities for the Windows Servers
• Handle projects like Windows Server migration and/or upgradation.
• Generate Performance, Capacity & Audit reports from Windows or other products supported by internal teams.
• Provide On-call support and perform after-hours/weekend maintenance updates to systems and support as and when needed.
• Be a part of and Perform Change Management, Incident Management and Problem Management (RCA) for the infrastructure.

Cerner Solutions Administration:

• Handle events like Net New installs and upgrades of Cerner developed solutions hosted on client’s environment.
• Also includes Hardware Migration, Upgrades, Hotfix applies on client environments PROD/TEST/TRAIN.
• Maintaining application delivery infrastructure in a highly process oriented environment by applying Patches and Upgrades for Cerner solutions as and when required by client.
• Establishes trusted relationships with all levels and service lines/department inside the client organization(s) and within Cerner project team.
• Works in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures.
• Understands personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets.
• Performs other responsibilities as needed.
