Job Description:

• Harman is hiring for System Test & Validation Intern.
• Work Location: Bangalore.

What You’ll Be Part Of:

• We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer Intern to join our Automotive Engineering team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing automated test solutions for Automotive Infotainment and Instrument Cluster systems using Python and NI-based platforms.
• This role requires strong programming fundamentals, analytical thinking, and a passion for software quality to support the delivery of reliable automotive products.
• The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify issues early, improve software quality, and contribute to successful project releases.

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and NI-based test systems.
• Validate Automotive Infotainment and Instrument Cluster software through continuous automation testing.
• Execute test cases on target hardware and software platforms.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and report defects to stakeholders.
• Support development teams by identifying software issues early in the development lifecycle.
• Follow project release plans and quickly adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
• Learn and contribute to Automotive Infotainment domains, including Audio, Media, System, Projection, and Connectivity.
• Support testing activities in lab environments using real hardware platforms.
• Work with power equipment, SoC flashing, and IO control systems.
• Learn and utilize automotive communication protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, Trace, Audio, and IPC.
• Contribute to delivering high-quality software and system performance that meets customer requirements.

What Makes You A Strong Fit:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (BE/B.Tech).
• Good programming knowledge in Python.
• Knowledge of Python automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or similar tools is preferred.
• Understanding of Python data types and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand, evaluate, and propose solutions for complex technical scenarios.
• Willingness to learn automotive technologies and testing methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Hands-on experience with Python-based automation testing.
• Exposure to Automotive Infotainment or Instrument Cluster systems.
• Knowledge of Automotive protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, Trace, Audio, or IPC.
• Experience working with hardware testing, SoC flashing, or embedded systems.
• Strong self-learning attitude and enthusiasm for exploring new technologies.
• Awareness of current industry trends and emerging technologies.
