Job Description:

• Microsoft is hiring for Research Sciences Intern.
• Work Location: Bangalore.

Overview:

• The Future of Scalable Software Engineering (FoSSE) team in CoreAI, Microsoft, invites applications for research internships.
• FoSSE is an applied research team focused on solving real-world software engineering problems for large codebases, including code migration, code translation, and static analysis, using AI and formal methods.
• Our internship program provides an opportunity to work on practical research problems while collaborating closely with Microsoft researchers.
• Internships last three to six months.
• We work at the intersection of programming language design, formal methods, static analysis, and AI.
• The positions are based in Bangalore, where we are co-located with Microsoft Research India.
• FoSSE provides an excellent research environment and a welcoming, diverse community.
• The team includes full-time researchers and engineers, along with postdocs, interns, and research fellows in fixed-term roles.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuing or Completed Bachelor’s / Master’s / PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline.

Job Responsibilities:

• Working with FoSSE and other Microsoft colleagues on applied research problems at the intersection of PL, SE, and AI.
• Experimenting with and building tools that work on real world and large code bases.
