Job Description:

• Alcon is hiring freshers for EDI Associate.
• Job Type: Full Time.
• Work Hours: 1.00 PM to 10.00 PM IST.
• Work Location: Bangalore.

Summary of Position:

• As a Junior EDI Analyst, you will assist in developing, configuring, integrating, and testing solutions based on functional and technical specifications to meet quality and performance requirements.
• This role provides exposure to EDI technologies, software development practices, and enterprise integration processes, with structured training and mentorship.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Support EDI Integration Activities:

• Assist in building and configuring EDI solutions for data exchange between internal systems and external trading partners.
• Participate in mapping and translation of EDI documents (e.g., purchase orders, invoices).

Collaborate Across Teams:

• Work with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Developers to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors under guidance.

Testing & Documentation:

• Contribute to unit testing and validation of EDI transactions.
• Maintain documentation for processes, configurations, and workflows.

Compliance & Standards:

• Learn and adhere to organizational standards and best practices for integration and security.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Technical Skills:

• Familiarity with programming languages (Java, Python, C++, or similar).
• Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Awareness of Agile methodology, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and testing lifecycle.
• Knowledge of XML, CSV, and flat file formats is a plus.

Nice to Have:

• Basic understanding of EDI concepts (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) – not mandatory.
  Familiarity with integration tools like IBM Sterling or similar is an added advantage.

• Ability to analyze requirements and contribute to solution design under mentorship.
• Strong collaboration skills for working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
