Job Description For Fixed Term Project Assistants:

• To assist Scientists carrying out research project (s).
• Prepare samples for establishing methods of analysis & carrying out routine analysis related to the assigned project (s).
• Monitoring batch reactions for optimizing reaction condition.
• Running pilot plants in shifts.
• Carryout any other job (s) assigned by the reporting scientist.

Education Qualification and Experience For For Fixed Term Research Associates:

• BTech: Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Petroleum Refining
• MSc: Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular biology

Age Limit:

• 25 years or below as on 17/02/2016.
• Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directives.

Note:

• At the time of application the candidate should have proof of award of degre.
• Candidates (belonging to General and OBC-NC category) should have secured minimum 60% marks (aggregate marks of all semesters) in qualifying degree examinations and Post Graduation degree, relaxed to 50% (aggregate marks of all semesters) for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
• Candidates with Integrated Courses can also apply.

Job Description For Fixed Term Research Associates:

• To prepare project proposal including work plan on the specific research topic assigned to the candidate.
• To carryout research activities on the specific topic including literature search, set up experimental facilities, if required, carryout experimental/ pilot/ simulation studies.
• Interpret results and undertake studies for further development/ improvement.
• Carryout any other activities that are assigned to the candidates from time to time.
• Prepare technical reports.

Education Qualification and Experience For For Fixed Term Research Associates:

• MTech Mechanical Engineering: Solar (PV/CSP), Energy Studies, Gasification, Automobile + Minimum 1 year Post MTech experience.
• MTech Chemical Engineering: Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering (Refining), BioTechnology + Minimum 1 year Post MTech experience in Petroleum Refining/Bio fuels.
• PHD in Chemistry: Organic, Analytical (spectroscopy/Chromatography/mass spectrometry), Physical, Catalysis/nano materials.
• PHD in Physics: Crystallography, Xray Spectroscopy (XRD, XPS), Spectroscopy / Microscopy (Raman, AFM etc).
• PHD in Bio: Biotechnology, Microbiology, Molecular biology, Bio informatics (Candidates who have worked in Bio fuels will be preferred)
• PHD in Chemical Engineering: Adsorption, Catalysis, Modelling & Simulation(Preferably CFD), Refining Process.

Age Limit:

• For PhD. 29 years or below and M.Tech 27 years or below as on 17.02.2016.
• Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directives.

Note:

• At the time of application the candidate should have proof of award of PHD degree OR Proof of submission of Phd thesis.
