Job Description:

• We are seeking a passionate and motivated Storage Engineering Intern to join our Innovation Lab team.
• This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge Proof of Concepts (PoCs) that explore the future of storage systems and infrastructure.
• You will collaborate with experienced engineers to design, prototype, and validate innovative storage solutions that push the boundaries of performance, scalability, and reliability.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of back-end components for storage systems.
• Contribute to PoCs involving distributed storage, object storage, or cloud-native storage architectures.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in languages such as Go, Rust, Python, or C++.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging sessions.
• Research emerging technologies and propose innovative ideas for PoCs.
• Document technical findings and present outcomes to stakeholders.

Required Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise:

• Currently Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Know-how of AI/ML/DS is desired.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
• Familiarity with storage concepts such as file systems, block storage, and object storage.
• Basic experience with back-end development and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Eagerness to learn and explore new technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:

• Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or IBM Cloud.
• Knowledge of distributed systems or networking fundamentals.
• Understanding or exposure to SaaS and other “as-a-Service” models (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, STaaS).
• Experience with scripting and automation tools.
• Passion for innovation and problem-solving.
