Job Description:

• Itron is hiring For Apprentice – Bangalore.
• Firmware Development Test & Automation.
• Job Type: Full Time.
• Work Mode: Hybrid.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and assist in testing embedded firmware used in our hardware products.
• Execute basic manual tests under supervision and document results clearly.
• Work closely with senior engineers to understand product functionalities and expected outcomes.
• Support in identifying, reporting, and tracking bugs.
• Help in setting up and maintaining test environments, test equipment, and devices.
• Participate in internal training sessions on embedded systems, tools, and testing processes.
• Good Communication skills, to be able to communicate to Global Team Members.

Eligibility Criteria:

• BE/BTech (Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Computer Science).
• 2024/2025 passouts with no prior job or apprenticeship experience.
• Strong interest in embedded systems, firmware, or hardware testing.
• Willingness to learn new tools and processes in a structured environment.

Basic Skills Required:

• Good knowledge of Linux environment and Windows.
• Good Programming skills using Python.
• Good to have – Shell scripting, Robot Framework keywords development.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Team-player, can-do attitude and will work well in a group environment while still being able to contribute on an individual basis.
• Attention to detail and patience during testing.
