Job Position: Manual Testing Intern

Job Description:

• Manual Testing Intern shall be responsible for executing the assigned tests, and developing new test cases under supervision for a variety of software solutions in the product line.
• They should be able to effectively work within a team of technically strong engineers.

Eligibility Criteria:

• BE/B.Tech in the disciplines of EEE/ECE/CSE or MCA degree or equivalent experience.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification will be a definite plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up test environment.
• Develop test cases against requirements/user stories.
• Execute assigned test runs and  update Test Case management and Defect Tracking Tool Enter defect details and links to appropriate test runs.
• Complete assigned tasks on-time and in accordance with the appropriate process.
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure product quality.
• Regular status reports of testing activities.
• Continually update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/or external courses, reading manuals and accessing new applications.
• Generate test reports.
• Develop Test Automation scripts under supervision.

Functional Skills:

• Must be able to use PC and software testing tools.
• Knowledge of Screening and Scanning technologies is a plus.
• Exposure to Security Systems domain is a plus.

Specific Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles, Testing Life Cycle and testing Concepts.
• Knowledge of Microsoft OS and software practices.
• Comprehend Test set-up.
• Test automation knowledge and prior experience with Selenium is a definite plus.
• Working knowledge of MS-Word and MS-Excel.

• Excellent verbal/written communication skills with very good teaming skills.
• A commitment to ongoing training and self learning.
• Good time management and self-organization.
